MEI and TDLinx Deliver Combined CRM and
Retail Data Solution for Consumer Goods Companies

Announcement marks the launch of MEI’s Global Partnering Effort
TDLinx now connected with all major CRM players in CPG

WILTON, Conn., and Basking Ridge, N.J. -- July 31, 2001 -- Trade Dimensions, marketers of TDLinxTM, the universal language of stores and accounts, and MEI, a leading provider of web-based customer relationship management (eCRM) and field force automation solutions to the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, today announced that they have signed a joint marketing agreement. The partnership will promote the integration of MEI’s line of eCRM products for the CPG industry and the de-facto industry-standard Trade Dimensions Retail Database.

"This partnership will dramatically benefit the users of TDLinx data and MEI solutions by enabling them to better meet the needs of their customers in a productive manner. TDLinx clients will gain instant integration with MEI systems, eliminating the need for a drawn out and expensive customization process," said Scott Taylor, Group Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Trade Dimensions. "MEI’s solution users will now be able to use TDLinx to access information on supermarkets, drug stores, mass merchandisers, club and convenience stores. TDLinx also allows MEI customers to integrate with other external sources of data and retail activity."

Under the alliance, MEI's fully mobile and web-based UniverSell Consumer Goods Suite, which efficiently and effectively manages all aspects of promotion planning and execution, will use the TDLinx coding structure to enhance analytical applications of retail shipment data for CPG companies. TDLinx will support MEI as a pre-integrated solution to its CPG clients. The two companies will also work to bring additional synergies to joint clients in North America.

"The partnership with TDLinx will enhance our marketing efforts in the US by offering a combined eCRM solution that boosts the CPG manufacturer’s ability to service its retail customers in a cost effective manner. Simply put, their data and our technology delivers a solution that directly and positively impacts the CPG manufacturer’s bottom line," said Fred Schroeder, Vice President, Sales, North America.

Richard Fortin, Global Partners Director, MEI, added: "The alliance with Trade Dimensions is a great way to launch MEI’s Global Partner Program because TDLinx enlarges the MEI footprint and helps to complete the solution. With TDLinx data, our customers will have more and better information on which to base their decisions. This is the definition of what we want our Global Partner Program to be."
