AquiTec Launches Web-based WMS;
Named to Software Magazine’s Software 500

WMS joins procurement and ordering in AquiTec’s online product offering
Software Magazine Ranks AquiTec as one of the World’s Largest Software Companies

Houston October 21, 2001 -- AquiTec, a leading provider of supply chain execution software, today announced the extension of its web-based supply chain management product line to include a warehouse management system. In addition, the company is pleased to announce that it was featured in the Software 500, Software Magazine’s list of the world’s foremost software and services providers, for the first time.

eWMS
AquiTec eWMS is a web-enabled warehouse management system that delivers advanced functionality designed to improve productivity and accuracy, reduce space requirements, increase volume capacity, obtain total inventory control and accountability and ultimately increase customer service and market share. The solution, which joins eBilling and eProcurement in AquiTec’s web-enabled supply chain management suite, will be available for release in the latter part of 2002.

"AquiTec eWMS will give retailers and wholesalers the power they need to accurately control all of the activities in their distribution centers, and will do it in a real-time environment," said Rik Schrader, Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "This new solution builds on our 30 years of experience in supply chain management systems to deliver a flexible application that addresses some of the industry biggest challenges, like inventory management, selection accuracy and worker productivity."

Software 500
AquiTec ranked 413th in Software Magazine’s annual compendium of software and services suppliers, catalogs the ranking, financial performance and growth, and primary business sector for each company as well as trend information for the Software 500 as a whole. The Software 500 is a comprehensive look at the enterprise software landscape, encompassing both public and private companies that develop business software and services. The ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2000.

"We are very honored by our inclusion in Software magazine’s Software 500," said Frank Arico, Chief Executive Officer, AquiTec. "I attribute this success to the hard work of everyone in our organization and to the support we have received from our customer base."

John Desmond, Software Magazine’s editorial director, added "The CIOs, senior IT and e-business managers who read Software Magazine value this yearly benchmark of the standing of their product and service partners. Each year as suppliers consolidate and new markets emerge, the composition of the Software 500 ranking reflects those changes."
