SDG Software Reports Several new Clients, Improved Results

Software Company enters European and Asian markets with major retail signings

NEW YORK, January 16, 2000: SDG Software (Stirling Douglas Group Inc.), Toronto, ON, today announced five new customers for its leading-edge merchandising applications at the National Retail Federation’s Annual Conference. In addition, two existing customers have added new software licenses, adding functionality to their current systems. The new clients include SDG’s first signings in France, Japan and New Zealand, as well as leading retailers in Canada and the United States.

"This flurry of customer activity shows that retailers are finished addressing their Y2K issues and are ready to implement new systems designed specifically to improve efficiency and provide volume lift across categories," said Jean-Philippe Vorsanger, President of SDG.

"Clearly the IT market is shifting from ERP systems to joint solutions. SDG, with its Integrated Merchandise Management Solutions is ideally positioned in this market. These new customers join some of the world’s most prominent retailers and manufacturers in the SDG family. We are committed to providing them all with the highest degree of functionality from our applications and the training and personal support required to get the most out of our systems."

At each client site, SDG is installing modules or the entire suite of their PROFIT (Product Replenishment on Forecasted Inventory Techniques) Series. The modules include AIMM (Active Integrated Merchandise Management); MAPS (Merchandise Activity Planning System); and PROMPT (Product Replenishment On Merchandise Policy Techniques).

Founded in 1985 and with headquarters in Markham, Ontario and offices in the U.S., SDG Software is a developer and marketer of integrated merchandising management applications.
